Field Engineer position in Oilfield Services
Not your usual 9-5, inside job
You could be a Field Engineer with a global oilfield services company, where you would provide information and services to oilfield Exploration & Production clients to help them locate, evaluate, and produce oil and gas reservoirs more efficiently. This Field Engineer position is a demanding, sometimes physical job involving complex technology utilized to optimize solutions for E&P companies. The information and services the Field Engineer provides helps our clients locate, evaluate, and produce oil and gas reservoirs more efficiently. Oil company professionals will depend on you for the expert advice necessary to make major production decisions. You must use a combination of technical and leadership skills to motivate and manage your crew and deliver quality service to our customers.
As a Field Engineer you would be completely responsible for all aspects of the operation at the job site. The first year salary is at least $62,000
Requirements:
BS degree from an ABET accredited 4 year University in any Engineering discipline (not including Engineering Technologies), and Physics.
Minimum GPA 2.8 / 4.0
0-3 Years of work experience

Willing to relocate
Field Engineers progress through an initial, structured training program the first eight months (only 10 weeks in a classroom environment) with on-the-job training for the first 36 months.
Work Schedule:You will have set days off, but on your days on, you will be on-call 24/7. The shift could be 14 days on 7 off, or 7 days on 3 offdepending on the business segment
It works out to for every 2 days you work; you get one off (over the span of a year).
Field Engineers spend three to five years (in total) working in the field. Starting positions are available throughout the United States virtually anywhere oil and gas drilling is occurring.Recently, Field Engineers have began work in the USA in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, New Mexico, Louisiana, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Kentucky, West Virginia, etc. You would be living in one town near oil drilling activity, so you can be quickly responsive to E&P customer needs.
